27 people committed to be at the cookout and it's still a week away. Wahoo! :pbj:

See you all in a week.

I'm going to try to be there Friday. May be just me or all four of us, and it depends on if Conn is through with my TJ by then. Hope to see you all there.

If my Jeep is ready, I'd love to try it out Saturday, on the trails. :pbj: - Joey

I will be there with family (4 altogether) to meet everyone. The jeep will probably not be there as I'm still looking for an AW4 tranny. Might have one on the way, will know for sure tomorrow. So maybe I can get it and slap it in if I have the resources. Later Jeff CamoXJ

Great I have a estimate of roughly 35 people coming to the cookout/Meeting

I am seeing a lot of new names and I don't know what the vehicles are capable of but we hope to run a couple of different groups so we can offer a varity of trails for skill level and vehicle capability
For anyone that hasn't ridden with us before please double check our vehicle requirement and basic trail rules
I will re-cap some of the more basic:

No Alcohol on the trail or illegal drugs
Vehicle must have tow Hooks or points on front and rear of the vehicle
There Must be a seat belt for all occupents of the vehicle
No chains used for vehicle recovery
Recommedations:
Vehicle Needs a full size spare ( it doesn't have to be the same size as what the vehicle is running )
CB radio is highly recommended
Cooler with food and drinks as there is no gas stations or resturants
Vehicle filled with gas
Tools and part to commonly broken parts
Bug spray and sun screen
and anything else you think you might need

I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the cookout and ride
and questions please put and post and some should give you an answer

We forgot one very important thing about Saturday. We will be meeting at 9:00am at the chair lift at Natural Bridge. Same place as the big ride we had in March.

I'll be there for the cookout but had plans for Saturday before I knew about the cookout and trail ride.

Was wondering if someone could post up more detailed directions from the bypass to the cookout. I haven't been around that area for at least a decade and don't remember most of the stuff around Richmond.

Cheers,
JD

directions......

from i-75...turn off the exit and go towards campus (coming from north to south turn left....from south to north turn right).....drive through i THINK 3 stoplights....on the 4 (i think) you will be at the intersection of the bypass and lancaster avenue (there will be a winn dixie on your right and a big tall building on the other side of the street to the left of winn dixie)....the number of stoplights i have given you could be off by 1 or 2 but it is about 1/2 -3/4 of a mile from 75....turn left onto lancaster avenue....go through 2 stoplights and the park will be on your right....i hope this helps....if you get down there and get lost you can call me at 513-678-5785 and i will come meet you wherever you are and bring you to where the park is....i am very familiar with the area so dont be afraid to call....let me know if you need better directions.....

Thanks David! I think I remember that part of town. The tall building you are talking about is the guys dorm (can't remember the name of it) and across the street from there is the softball/baseball fields right? If that's Lancaster st. I remember a small park being between the bypass and main street there.

When I was in the military, my fiance(at the time) was going to school there at EKU and I visited when I could. Ugh, making me think 12+ years back! haha.
