Let's Wheel August 27th - 29th

Post by SnappD » Thu Jul 15, 2004 2:17 pm

Alright, mark your calendars for August 27-29th. www.we-go-offroad.com is hosting a rather large offroad event in Alexandria, KY at the Kentucky Outback Adventure Park (www.xtremeterrain.com).

We should have between 75-150 rigs in attendance and there's riding for every type of vehicle, stock to extreme. Details are at http://forums.we-go-offroad.com.

If you can make it, there's primitive camping, LOTS of trail riding and even more fun.

Yeah, that's the one I meant. Lewis County. I haven't been there yet but plan on going in the next couple of weeks to check it out. I've had some guys tell me they had a great time up there for some trail cleanups.

CHANGE OF PLANS: We'll be wheeling at Slade instead of the offroad park due to the trails not being completely maintained yet. This is to prevent body damage for stock vehicles and those not wanting to scratch their rigs.

We'll have riding for everyone from stock to extreme at Slade.

I'd be there, but I'm getting married that weekend. Had to move it up because of pending deployments that I'm getting caught up in.

I'll put it this way. I'm less concerned about going to war than I am about the marriage. At least I'll be armed when I go to war. I'm going to the altar without even a pocket knife.

On another note, the military changed some dates...AGAIN... and I might be able to make it down for this, but I'm not sure.
