Yeah, I am not going to pitch it and thought about repairing it. I will probably do that as a "back up" rope. It was 150' and I couldn't have lost over 30' of it. There's a nice kit for repairing the rope. Might be a nice extension once repaired. Stu Olsen has a nice write up on the repair on his site.

If you were running 150 feet, that might be part of the problem. Mine is 100' and really too big for the space that I have available for the rope. I think if I were you, cut off the 30' and reattach the hook. Like you said, you only had one pull on it so in my mind it would be hard to justify dropping another 3-400 bucks on a rope just to have a spare that you may not use.

Also, there maybe a few guys in the club that will fix it for a small fee. When I got my rope I didn't like the hook on it so I had a persueded a club member to put my current hook on for me. He did a great job and I probably have over 75-100 pulls on it.

Then again, I am cheap. You Rubi guys run in a different circle! :finger:

Mine came with 150' of steel cable so, that is why I went with that length of rope. I talked with Willis and he has tried to repair one before without success. I ordered 150' of black already so, I think a winchline extension is the best way to go with this remaining rope.
