JOINING THE KENTUCKY KRAWLERS
In response to requests for information regarding the requirements to join our club...
Requirements for new membership to the Kentucky Krawlers (per bylaws):
1. You must attend one non-ride Krawlers event. This can include the monthly shoptalk, summer picnic/cookout, annual meeting, special event. This is to show your interest in the club and meet the other members.
2. You must attend one Krawlers sponsored ride.
3. You must recruit a member in good standing to sponsor and nominate you for membership. Obviously if you don't follow the club rules regarding trail manners and rig requirements your at a disadvantage.
4. You must pay the club fee and be accepted by the club as a member. This is an informal process and sounds more menacing than it is.
We then hope you'll participate and be active in club functions, whether on the trails or social events.

im from Ky but in the military and live in Japan can i become a member, cuz it would be hard for me to do step 1-4 from above
Re: RE: JOINING THE KENTUCKY KRAWLERS
If your currently serving, I bet the exec board would come up with mode of approval. You can hang out here, no problem. Paying dues would get you to the member side of the website, but we don't really keep any secrets. All you'd miss out on is club only rides and events, which would be hard to make, as you said.claycity wrote:im from Ky but in the military and live in Japan can i become a member, cuz it would be hard for me to do step 1-4 from above
Thanks for serving and feel free to post up. We'll see you back in KY.

Get it approved through the proper channels and I will sponsor (pay) his way for the first yr. I just think it is the right thing to do.
Thank you for serving, "ClayCity"!

Okinawa is the only place in that country I haven't been. I have lived in Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya (Toyota City) and Tokyo and I tend to go there 1-2 times a year for work or for family. My wife is actually going on Friday for a few weeks to see her parents in Yokohama.claycity wrote:Kadena Okinawa. The first was from 1996 till 2002, this time its 2005 till 2011. I love the Asian culture its hard to believe they did what they did in Pearl Harbor. My wife is Okinawan too, so it makes my time here EZer.
Gotcha covered this year! Thanks for serving.claycity wrote:..................if you if end up paying thank you dude
Got a couple of stories about about "The Rock" but, I'll share them later.

Re: JOINING THE KENTUCKY KRAWLERS
I guess you could kinda say I'm in the same boat as Claycity but I'll be moving to Ft. Knox next march. Right now we're in Iraq (originally out of Ft. Bragg, NC)so i can't make any rides/meetings but I'm more than willing to throw in a membership fee so that I can start attending club functions immediately after I get to Knox. We get back from Iraq in November and I am moving to Knox March of next year.
So how do I go about all this???

Eric, I just cut another check for him. You guys on the board decide how to handle it. I just want these young men treated a little differently than those in the last long war. I think your Father would think the same way.
